Munmun Dutta (born 28 September 1977) is an Indian film, television actress and model. She is better known for her role of 'Babita' in India's longest running sitcom TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
Dutta was born and grew up in Durgapur, West Bengal. Her family members are singers. She took formal training in classical music and she is a Visharad. After completing her higher secondary school she took admission in a college in Pune. this colege is related to fashion and dance art.
While living in Pune, Dutta participated in fashion shows. During her fashion shows she came to Mumbai and got acting debut role in Zee TV's 2004 TV serial Hum Sab Baraati. Dutta has done modelling in many TV commercials. She got her first film role in Kamal Haasan's film Mumbai Express. Later on in 2006 she acted in film Holiday. Since 2008 she is doing role of 'Babita' in India's longest running comedy TV serial 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'.
